Collection: Heat Kashmir
Greater than 95% of the world's sapphire and ruby are thermally enhanced using a higher temperature and sometimes much higher pressure. The heating process is both an "art & a science" requiring the perfect recipe of time, temperature, and atmospheric condition to 'enrichen' the color. Our low pressure low temperature process develops the optimal blue leaving the signature velvet texture by replicating the deep earths natural conditions. Our process is slow and gradual over days and or weeks of time
Our stones are not pressure treated at high temperature like the new heated sapphires. This new HPHT or 'high pressure high temperature' (PHT) technologies thermally shock the stones in a hydraulic press in 15 minutes @1000+ atm pressure. They are similar to the HPHT diamonds.
